The Division of Rehabilitation Services works with South Dakota School Districts and other organizations within the state to help students with disabilities plan for their future. A variety of services are available to help match your skills, abilities, and interests with a compatible career path.
South Dakota Resources
If you are only going to look at one website for college and career readiness, this is it. Select Dakota has great resources – we love the checklists and timelines – for students and families to prepare for the transition out of high school.
Recognizing that success looks different for each student, South Dakota is committed to providing multiple pathways for students to achieve and demonstrate readiness for life after high school. The new graduation requirements combine opportunities for rigor, student engagement and flexibility in order to build a foundation for future success.
College readiness courses are intended to assist students in reaching their goal of being fully prepared to enter into the workforce or a postsecondary institution following high school graduation. The college readiness course program is intended for students with skill gaps (1-4 points below an institution’s ACT benchmark).
