The Division of Rehabilitation Services works with South Dakota School Districts and other organizations within the state to help students with disabilities plan for their future. A variety of services are available to help match your skills, abilities, and interests with a compatible career path.

High School Graduation Requirements

Recognizing that success looks different for each student, South Dakota is committed to providing multiple pathways for students to achieve and demonstrate readiness for life after high school. The new graduation requirements combine opportunities for rigor, student engagement and flexibility in order to build a foundation for future success.

SD Virtual High School College and Career Readiness Course Work

College readiness courses are intended to assist students in reaching their goal of being fully prepared to enter into the workforce or a postsecondary institution following high school graduation. The college readiness course program is intended for students with skill gaps (1-4 points below an institution’s ACT benchmark).
