The Division of Rehabilitation Services works with South Dakota School Districts and other organizations within the state to help students with disabilities plan for their future. A variety of services are available to help match your skills, abilities, and interests with a compatible career path.

SD Parent Connection

We connect families caring for children/youth (ages birth to 26) with the full range of disabilities or special health care needs to information, training and resources in an environment of support, hope and respect. Transition Services Liaison Project

Transition services are a coordinated set of activities for a child with a disability, based on the individual child’s needs, taking into account the child’s strengths, preferences and interests; and designed to be within a results-oriented process.

Family Engagement Transition Toolkit

The Family Engagement Transition Toolkit is designed especially for emerging young adults with disabilities to utilize as a resource to support the course of transition planning for post-secondary education and employment.
